Getting Started

First Time Setup

  1. Onboarding: When you first open the app, you'll see an interactive onboarding tour that explains all key features.
  2. Language Selection: The app automatically detects your device language. Supported languages include English, Spanish, Japanese, and French.
  3. Recording Your First Attack: Tap the "+" button on the main screen to record your first migraine attack.

Basic Navigation

  • Attacks Tab: View and manage all your recorded migraine attacks
  • Statistics Tab: See detailed analytics and patterns of your migraines
  • Settings Tab: Access app preferences, relief methods, and data export options

Recording Migraine Attacks

How to Record a New Attack:

  1. Tap the "+" button on the Attacks screen
  2. Set the severity level using the slider (1-10 scale)
  3. Select the date and time when the attack started
  4. Toggle "Has it ended?" if the attack is ongoing
  5. Choose the location of pain (left side, right side, both sides, forehead, back of head, or whole head)
  6. Select symptoms you're experiencing
  7. Identify potential triggers
  8. Add any notes or additional information
  9. Tap "Save" to record the attack

Editing an Attack:

  • Tap on any attack from the list to view details
  • Tap the "Edit" button to modify information
  • Make your changes and save

Deleting an Attack:

  • Open the attack details
  • Tap "Delete" and confirm

Tracking Symptoms

The app tracks 8 common migraine symptoms:

  • Light Sensitivity
  • Sound Sensitivity

Select all symptoms that apply to each attack for better pattern recognition.

Medication Management

Recording Medications:

  1. When recording or editing an attack, scroll to the Medications section
  2. Tap to add a medication
  3. Enter the medication name
  4. Set the dosage
  5. Rate effectiveness (1-10) after the attack subsides
  6. Record time to relief
  7. Note any side effects

Viewing Medication Effectiveness:

  • Go to Statistics tab
  • Scroll to "Medication Effectiveness" section
  • See average effectiveness ratings and usage counts for each medication

Exporting Your Data:

  1. Go to Settings tab
  2. Tap "Export Data" under Data section

Q: How do I restore my Pro purchase?

A: Ensure you have sufficient storage space on your device. Try closing other apps and restarting Migraine Tracker.

  • Record attacks as soon as possible after they occur
  • Be consistent with severity ratings (use the same scale)
  • Don't skip recording minor attacks - patterns matter

Detailed Information

  • Add notes about what you were doing before the attack

  • Solution: Check if filters are applied. Clear all filters or adjust date range.

Problem: Statistics show "No data available"

  • Solution: Make sure you've recorded at least one attack with complete information.

Problem: Export feature not working

  • Solution: Check device storage space. Ensure you have permission to save files.

Problem: App looks different after update

  • Solution: Check your device language settings. The app may have switched languages.

Problem: Relief methods not loading

  • Solution: Restart the app. If the issue persists, reinstall the app (your data is stored locally).
